My introduction to medical billing was in 2015 when a behavioral health clinician friend complained about being behind on her billing. I asked her how many months she was behind, and she said two. I then asked her why she was behind, she replied "I don't like to do it".

 

I had recently been laid off from my job after 12 years and had much time on my hands so I told her I would help her get caught up if she showed me what to do.  I submitted my first claim in 2015 and did such a great job, that I was asked if I could continue to submit her billing.

 

She started singing my praises and the referrals started rolling in.  I would ask the clinicians and group owners the same question I asked my friend …' Why are you looking to outsource?" The response I received 99 percent of the time was… “It’s not a good use of my time”.

 

I began to put a plan in place, took my passion for helping others, and  TS Medical Billing which is now Accrue Medical Billing, LLC was established and is currently providing legendary service to Clinicians and group practices in California, Florida, and Maryland.
